![]() This comes at the cost of a fairly high CPU load, but we think it was worth it: Diva is the first software synthesizer to use real-time industrial circuit simulator techniques (like PSpice). ![]() The behavior of feedback filters without delay, when pushed to the limit clearly, demonstrates the benefits of this revolutionary approach. Since working with it, I have been deeply impressed by the visible coronary heart that retains the playable and modern U-He instruments. And while I hope readers will forgive the superlativeness here, it upset me. This slim synthesizer sounds like a real hardware synthesizer. Takes up some memory, but can use a certain number of processors and quality settings to reduce CPU utilization. The synthesizer itself is pretty easy to understand, and I can create my own sounds from inline initializations relatively painlessly. There will be no way for listeners to know if you have a real synthesizer or if you downloaded U-he Diva for free. It is ideal for those looking for analog-quality sound. If you want old-school analog sound, you’ve just discovered the Gold Mine.
